Pogba Stays in United For Now

Pogbas agent Mino Raiola says that he is happy to stay in Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but the team needs to start winning trophies. The midfielder was heavily linked with a move in the summer either to Real Madrid or his old club Juventus, and since then rumours never stop for eventual move in January transfer window. However, Ole Gunnar Solkjaer never mentioned that Pogba wants to leave and always protected the player from further rumours.

With 18 months left of his current contract, Unite is running out of time to cash in on the player, although Solkjaer is always saying that Pogba it’s the key player who will use to build the new team around.

Being on the sideline for three months with ankle injury Raiola said that his client it’s focused on getting back on the pitch as soon as possible while talks about a new deal with United has been in stale.

Asked if United are planning to move Pogba on, Raiola told Sky Sports News on Monday: ” Pogba has always respected Manchester United just as Manchester United has also respected Paul.

Raiola continues: ” I go by what Solkjaer says, and Pogba will not move, and that’s OK. We are good with them. With Pauls injury, he has been struggling and now that’s our main interest now to resolve. The only aim Paul has is to perform as well as possible for Manchester United.

” So if Ole wants to speak with me, he knows my number, but until then I always speak with Ed Woodward because that’s the person I talk to at the club. I never talked to Ole.

” The only thing I know is that Paul loves and respect Ole for the things he has done for him in the past.

However, Raiola added that his client has to be in a team who compete and winning trophies.

Asked if he can see Pogba staying in United in a year time Raiola responded: ” Yes I can but in a club who fights to win Premier League and Champions League.

” As long as Paul it’s in Manchester United, he wants to win trophies. That’s the kind of players he is, and he will not act differently.

” Like Ole is saying, the team it’s building in progress. He says he is working on a team for next year. Let’s hope it goes well for him because the world needs Manchester United on the top.

Whether Pogba will stay at Manchester United or not, this January transfer window will be interesting for both sides. With United trying to get back on the top, they will try to sign top-class players and at the same time keeping Pogba in the team.
